On Tax Day, Mayor Bowser to Highlight Tax Credit for Seniors and Working Families

Sunday, April 14, 2019

(Washington, DC) – On Monday, April 15, at 11:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will host a media availability to highlight her Fiscal Year 2020 budget proposal’s “Keep Housing Affordable Tax Credit,” which would increase and expand the refundable Schedule H tax credit for DC homeowners and renters.

Schedule H assists low- and moderate-income residents who face high property taxes or rents compared with their income, particularly seniors. Mayor Bowser’s new $5.2 million investment would increase the Schedule H credit to $1,200 and would expand eligibility to 3,000 new people.
