(Washington, DC) - The District of Columbia Department of Corrections (DOC) Interim Director announced that the DC Jail will be on lockdown from July 6, 2011, through July 18, 2011 to allow for a routine facility-wide security search.  During the lockdown, normal inmate movement will cease along with non-emergency social visits.  Legal visits will continue in accordance with normal procedures.
