On Thursday, March 5, 2026, Thomas Nash (70), an individual in the custody of the D.C. Department of Corrections (DOC), died at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center while receiving treatment for advanced and complex pre-existing medical conditions. Mr. Nash had been hospitalized since February 26, 2026.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
