Mayor's Community Corrections Facility Siting Advisory Commission Releases Report

(Washington, DC) The Mayor's Advisory Commission was established to make recommendations to the Mayor and the Bureau of Prisons on the criteria governing the siting of community correctional facilities. The Commission report and recommendations takes into account the Comprehensive Plan, the proximity and distribution of existing residential facilities, all relevant laws and regulations, research on prisoner reentry and recidivism, and the health, safety, and welfare of District residents.
