Joe Page, Warden

Joe Page III currently serves as the Warden. Mr. Page is a highly respected criminal justice professional with over 20 years of experience in the field of corrections. He is known for his transformational leadership and commitment to creating a culture that prioritizes safety and prepares residents for successful reentry into their communities.

Before joining us, Mr. Page served as Superintendent with the Arkansas Department of Corrections at the Pine Bluff Complex, where he led 470 employees and was responsible for the care and custody of 1,700 inmates/residents. He has extensive experience overseeing both male and female populations with custody levels ranging from minimum to maximum security, which included the management of prison industry programs.

Throughout his career, Mr. Page has held a variety of roles, including Correctional Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Warden, and Superintendent. He was named Superintendent of the Year by the Arkansas Department of Corrections in 2016. Additionally, Mr. Page has nine years of experience counseling juveniles at the Arkansas Juvenile Assessment & Treatment Center and serving as a part-time certified law enforcement officer in the State of Arkansas.

Mr. Page also serves as President of the North American Association of Wardens & Superintendents (NAAWS) and is an active member of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice and the American Correctional Association (ACA), where he was elected to the Board of Governors. His leadership was recognized on a national level when he was selected to participate in the 9-month nationwide Warden Exchange Leadership Development Academy.

In addition to his extensive Operations experience, Mr. Page previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Shorter College, instructing courses for the Second Chance Pell Grant and has taught at Arkansas State University.
