Jacqueline Williams, Deputy Director of Education, Case Management, and Reentry Programs

Jacqueline Williams was appointed Deputy Director of Education, Case Management, and Reentry Programs in October 2022. In this role, she manages comprehensive programs and services aimed at supporting the incarcerated population. These include the READY Center, various educational programs such as Special Education, GED, college and career readiness, and workforce development. Additionally, she oversees reentry initiatives, women's programs, the Young Men Emerging program, the 50 and over unit, Volunteer Services, Religious Services, and the LEAD Up Lead Out Programs, along with barbering and cosmetology services.

Ms. Williams began her career with the Department of Corrections in 2010 as a Lead Clinician in the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program. She advanced to Women’s Program Coordinator and later to Program Administrator for all programs and services.

In 2019, Ms. Williams joined the Executive Office of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement as Project Director for the District’s Gun Violence Initiative, where her leadership contributed to a 68% reduction in violence and crime in targeted communities.

Ms. Williams is a certified clinician and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation from West Virginia Wesleyan College. With over 24 years of service with the District of Columbia Government, Ms. Williams is committed to enhancing the lives of District residents and supporting the successful reentry of the incarcerated population back into society.
