Kelly A. Vick, Deputy Warden Correctional Treatment Facility

Kelly A. Vick serves as the Deputy Warden of the Correctional Treatment Facility, where she is responsible for direct oversight of day-to-day operations. A native of the District of Columbia and graduate of Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Deputy Warden Vick earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Administration from the University of Maryland, Global College. She holds several professional certifications and is an active member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, as well as the American Corrections Association.

With over two decades of experience in public safety, Vick began her career with Correctional Corporations of America, now known as CoreCivic, where her leadership qualities quickly earned her a promotion to Captain. She then joined the State of Virginia Department of Corrections, serving as an Instructor at the State of Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission. Notably, she developed the field training officer’s program for the State of Maryland from its inception and managed the operations and logistics for the state’s Child First Forensic Interviewing Training program.

In June 2018, Vick returned to Washington, DC, as a Lieutenant with the DC Department of Corrections. She advanced through various operational and command roles within the agency. As Deputy Warden, Vick has demonstrated a strong commitment to the agency's objectives, consistently promoting positive outcomes and inspiring her colleagues to achieve their goals with pride, passion, and professionalism.

Deputy Warden Vick is known for her love of animals and is often found giving the K-9 unit’s dogs treats. She is dedicated to the agency and District’s safety and considers it one of the highest honors to serve the citizens of her hometown.
